Tolethorpe’s 2019 season opens on June 11 with a triple bill featuring the varied delights of Shakespeare and Noel Coward. There’s no better place to be when the sun’s shining.
The Stamford Shakespeare Company regularly packs out the wondrous Rutland Open Air Theatre with its productions - so what could be better than enjoying a leisurely evening of picnicking or dining and perusing the glorious view before wallowing in a literary feast of Englishness?

More than 33,000 people came from near and far last year to savour the experience. This year’s visitors will be similarly indulged, with “Twelfth Night” and “Julius Caesar” sharing the traditional triple bill with Coward’s frothy “Blithe Spirit”.

And if it rains, don’t fret. All the theatre is under cover.
